Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Hidden Blade – Will It Be In The Game?

Can you get the hidden blade in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

No. You will not be able to use the hidden blade in Assassin’s Creed. We know this because Jonathan Dumont, creative director on AC Odyssey, said so in an interview with Game Informer this June. His exact words were:

There’s no hidden blade in the game. The hidden blade is introduced in Origins. In our game, we have the broken spear.

That’s pretty definitive, no? However, some people are still not satisfied, so there’s a bunch of conspiracy theories claiming the blades will, in fact, be present in AC Odyssey. We know that the blade was given to Aya by Cleopatra. The queen herself mentioned it was used to kill the Persian emperor Xerxes. In real life, Xerxes was assasinated by his bodyguard 30 years before Odyssey. So we know the blade will exist during the events of the game, which lead some people to believe we’ll get to use it.

Like most conspiracy theories, it’s pretty shaky. Mostly because we have an official source saying otherwise. The Spear of Leonidas will replace the hidden blade, serving the exact same purpose, and looking only slightly different. Functionally, it will make no difference – you’ll still be able to sneak around, stab people, drop onto their heads from higher places and such. It’s just that you’ll have to carry your weapon in a quiver or scabbard, instead of your sleeve.
