It’s made of wood, with a wrought iron decoration on the front. It’s a medium shield that provides decent protection from dark damage. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find Follower Shield in Ashes of Ariandel, what it looks like and its stats.

Follower Shield Location

Spawn at the Snowy Mountain Pass bonfire, in the hills above the birdperson village. Go up the mountain, under the felled tree. Continue ascending until you get to the giant bell embedded in the hill. Turn left before you reach it and head towards the cliff. Once you’re at the edge, turn left again. You’ll find a corpse in the corner, holding the shield.

Follower Shield Description & Stats

Description:
Standard shield used by the Farron Followers. Crafted with wood and reinforced with metal. Imbued with a faint resistance to the Abyss.
Skill: Weapon skill
Equipping this shield in the left hand allows one to perform the skill of the right hand weapon.

It provides 65 dark and 80 physical resistance, as well as 55 stability. It’s a medium shield by all accounts, but everyone could find a use for it thanks to the dark damage resistance. Aside from that, it’s probably not going to be anyone’s main source of protection – it doesn’t block all incoming physical damage, and its guard can be broken relatively easily.

It looks pretty and complements the Millwood Knight set nicely (in form, if not function). If you have any suggestions about other armor sets this shield would go with well, share them in the comments. Because we all know fashion is the true end game.
