Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City DLC Announced, Trailer Released

Bandai Namco have just announced the second piece of DLC for Dark Souls 3. It’s called The Ringed City, and it’s going to be released near the end of March. They’ve released a trailer to showcase it as well, and it’s filled with new locations, enemies, NPCs and items.

Here’s the official spiel:

Fear not the dark, ashen one. Journey to the world’s end to search for the Ringed City and encounter new lands, new bosses, new enemies with new armor, magic and items. Experience the epic final chapter of a dark world that could only be created by the mind of Hidetaka Miyazaki.

So, Londor perhaps? It would be nice. The “dark” references, as well as the pilgrim in the video make us suspect that is the case. The videos shows off a twisted landscape which the narrator describes as a rubbish heap. Some new enemies are shown, many of which look like insects in the same way Bloodborne monsters did – lots of joins, slithering across the floor. There’s also a giant maiden dressed in white, holding an egg shell.

One of the new bosses will be a giant flaming insect demon which can hurl fireballs at the player. Also of note are a creature with dragonfly wings, a fancy lighting infused bow and a sword that glows blue (either magic or frost). There’s no word on the number of new items we can expect, but these two are guaranteed. The new DLC should be roughly as long as the first one, according to previous statements from From (both DLCs together are comparable in length to Artorias of the Abyss).

Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City is going to launch on March 28th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. If you haven’t played the previous DLC, you can buy them together via the season pass.
