Destiny 2 Forsaken Gambit Celeb Showdown Stream Announced

Bungie and Activision are doubling down on using the new Gambit mode to market the upcoming Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC. And, why not; it seems like it’s going to be one of the most fun new additions to the game. Besides, you can look forward to a free trial of the Gambit mode on September 1st, so this stream might serve to psyche you up for it even more. Yes, in short, Bungie will be hosting a celeb showdown stream, where two teams of celebrities from different walks of life will be competing against each other. Athletes, streamers, recording artists; all are equal on the battlefield.

Team Alpha will consist of NBA player Zach LaVine, recording artist Vic Mensa, variety streamer SchviftyFive, and Destiny streamer True Vanguard. The other team, Team Bravo, will have the same team composition, as far as occupations go. On Team Bravo, we’ll have NBA player Luka Doncic, recording artist Dillon Francis, variety streamer Di3sel, and Destiny streamer Ms5000Watts. The hosts will be Mtashed and Drlup, old-school Destiny content creators, as well as Bungie Community Manager Deej. The stream will start on August 31st, at 1 PM PDT. I’m pretty sure you can figure out what time that is in your time zone.

You can tune into the steam on Bungie’s Twitch channel. It’ll give you a good idea of how Gambit will work, ahead of the free trial on September 1st. As for the Forsaken DLC, it’s coming out on September 4th, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Apart from Gambit, there will be a ton of other new content, including strikes, a raid, new collectibles, and much more.
