Destiny 2 Forsaken Launch Trailer Revealed Ahead of Release
Bungie has unveiled the launch trailer for Destiny 2 Forsaken, a week before the actual release date. It features characters such as Zavala and Ikora reacting to the death of our beloved Exo hunter, as well as some other story bits to pick up on. And, of course, some of the action we’ll be getting into while exploring the Reef and taking revenge on the Barons and Uldren Sov.
The launch of Destiny 2 Forsaken is coming up fast, what with it releasing next week. So, of course, Bungie and Activision are pumping the hype further, with the release of the Forsaken launch trailer. In it, we get to see the reactions of certain characters to (spoiler warning if you’ve been living under a rock lately) the death of Cayde-6; specifically, Zavala and Ikora Rey. Zavala seems to be a little reluctant to take revenge on Uldren Sov and his cohorts, but Ikora talks him into it. After all, the death of such a close friend cannot go unavenged. Side note, it’s cool to see that Cayde-6’s last words were insulting Sov’s family; he died the way he lived.
As the video description states, Forsaken will take place on The Reef, an area which is completely lawless. Uldren Sov and the Barons have pulled of a jailbreak at the Prison of Elders, causing further mayhem. You and Cayde were supposed to solve the situation, but things went south, and Cayde ended up biting the dust. So, your mission will be to go into The Reef alone, outside of the authority of the Vanguard, to take justice and uncover secrets on the way.
Destiny 2 Forsaken is coming out on September 4th, 2018, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. You can still preorder it, and get Cayde’s Exotic Stash. This includes the Ace of Spades Last Hand Exotic Ornament, the Queen of Hearts Exotic Ship, Standoff Exotic Emote, and Shades of Cayde-6 Armor Shaders. So, are you ready to take revenge?
