Destiny 2 Players Should Clear Out Postmaster, Warns Bungie

Bungie has warned Destiny 2 players to clear out the stuff they have stored at the Postmaster. The reason is that the upcoming update 2.0.0 is going to change around some of the weapons and weapon slots. As that’s happening, some of your stuff might vanish; so, to avoid that, make sure to clear out your stash at the Postmaster.

If you play Destiny 2, I’m going to guess that a fair number of you have some stuff hanging at the Postmaster. Makes sense; nobody can just lug around a bunch of gear that you don’t need, but never know when it might come in handy. Well, according to Bungie’s Twitter, you might want to clean house before update 2.0.0 drops on August 28th. That update is going to basically prepare the game for the Forsaken expansion, and that will also introduce changes to the weapons and weapon slots. During that whole situation, some of your items might get lost by accident. To avoid this, you should make sure to clear out the stuff you have stashed at the Postmaster ASAP.

If you’re out of the loop about the update, let’s go though some details. First off, here’s when it will drop. Update 2.0.0 is coming out on Tuesday, August 28th. According to the Destiny 2 website, servers are going down at 9:45 AM PDT, but players will no longer be able to log into Destiny 2 starting 9:30 AM PDT. The servers should come back up around 2 PM PDT. We have to note that this update will also mark the end of the Solstice of Heroes event. So, if you want to take part in Solstice of Heroes and/or Moments of Triumph, you have precious little time left, so get to it.

As for the weapons and weapon slots, you should know that a whole bunch of weapons are going to be switching slots or they’re getting their elemental attributes changed. You can check out a list of the changes by going over to the Destiny 2 website via the link we’ve provided.
