Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 servers will be down for maintenance on Thursday, October 19th. The scheduled downtime should last about four hours or so, if everything goes as planned. In the meantime, players won’t be able to access Destiny 2. Therefore, Guardians should finish up everything that they have planned before maintenance begins. You wouldn’t want to get booted from the game just as you’re wrapping up the Raid or something.

So, when exactly are the Destiny 2 servers going down? Well, according to the post on Bungie’s website, maintenance is scheduled to start at 8 AM Pacific Time / 11 AM Eastern Time / 5 PM Central European Time. At that point, you won’t be able to log into the game anymore. At 9 AM Pacific / 12 PM Eastern / 6 PM Central European, all players currently in the game will get kicked out, and players will no longer be able to get into the game until maintenance is over. It’s scheduled to end at 12 PM Pacific Time / 3 PM Eastern / 9 PM Central European.

In other Destiny 2 news, preloads of the PC version are now available. This was announced on the official Bungie Twitter account. You can purchase the game on Battle.net and immediately get on with the preloading. Servers will go up on October 24th, and you’ll be able to start playing right of the bat. The PC version should be a beast. It will support an uncapped framerate, 4K resolution, and you’ll be able to play on up to three monitors.
