Search between three boats is one of the week 8 challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale. It’s part of the new battlepass weekly challenges, and it tasks you with finding a hidden star, while only telling you it’s between three boats. But where are the boats? Where to find three boats in Fortnite BR?

After a bit of thought, we can’t think of any place with three boats other than Loot Lake. If you land there often, you might recognize them – they’re all halfway between the shore and the island, and they often hold chests. The only land between them is the island with the mansion, so the star is bound to be hidden somewhere on it.

UPDATE: The challenges are live, which means we now know the star is at the end of the wooden pier at the mansion. The pier is on the southeastern corner of the island.

We won’t know the exact location until the update with the new challenges goes live on Thursday, but we can make assumptions. None of the stars so far have been in interiors, which means you can probably skip searching the mansion itself. Focus on the surrounding area instead.

A lot of people seem to think it’s going to be hidden under a particular ridge, in the shallow water by the island. It’s certainly an interesting place to hide a trinket, but we think it’s probably going to be hidden in the cave beneath the island. We’re going to update this guide with pictures of the precise location when the update goes live, as well as a detailed explanation of how to get there.

It’s probably going to be a hot mess, with dozens of people landing there looking for the star, and dozens more only there to mess with the treasure hunters. It would be best to avoid going there on Thursday.
