Injustice 2 New Trailer Introduces Starfire from Fighter Pack 1 DLC
The third fighter from the Fighter Pack 1 DLC, Starfire, got a reveal trailer. In the video, Princess Koriand’r of Tamaran shows all that she can do. With her power of converting ultraviolet energy, Starfire can unleash devastating combos with powerful rays,, projectiles and dashes. The new character will appear in the game some time in August.
Up until recently, Starfire has been a relatively lesser-known DC character. However, she’s been moving further and further to the forefront, especially in the animated DC universe. So it stands to reason that she’d be included in Injustice 2. She’s the third character from the Fighter Pack 1 DLC, preceded by Red Hood and Sub Zero. As a reminder, this DLC is available to all those that have bought the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Injustice 2, or the Fighter Pack separately. As was the case with Sub Zero and Red Hood, you’ll probably be able to purchase Starfire outside of the DLC pack. Starfire will be arriving to the game in August.
Judging by the video, Starfire seems to be a quick, agile, and versatile fighter. She uses dash attacks, ground pounds, and energy rays and projectiles. Her super move is to blast the opponent into space using several energy blasts, then finishing the move with a huge energy sphere that explodes. As the next Queen of Tamaran, Princess Koriand’r found herself the victim of her fratricidal sister’s vengeful plot that resulted in their planet being conquered. Now a royal exile on Earth, Koriand’r uses her ability to absorb and convert ultraviolet energy as Starfire.
So, it seems that Starfire is a more neutral character than most of the cast. However, it’s worth noting that, at the beginning of the video, she attacks Damien Wayne fro killing Dick Grayson.
