Injustice 2 Red Hood Gameplay Trailer Revealed

A while ago, we’ covered the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1 DLC. The characters included there are Starfire, Red Hood and Mortal Kombat staple Sub-Zero. Outside of the reveal trailer, none of these fighters got a proper gameplay video like all the other characters did. Now, Red Hood got his turn.

The trailer shows Jason Todd in action, and he fights exactly as you’d expect. Like Batman, he uses a slew of different gadgets to defeat his enemies. This includes shurikens and various explosive devices such as grenades. However, his main weapon of choice are his two guns with electrified butts. He uses them both in close quarters and to deal damage from a distance. A lot of his combos involve the pistols, and you can pull off some serious juggles that way, it seems.

Red Hood’s super, somewhat disappointingly, is kinda more of the same. He uses a grenade to launch the enemy into the air, fires of a couple of rounds, jumps up, attaches an explosive to the opponent’s back, and detonates it with a bullet. Nothing special to write home about, especially considering his normal moves. You can check out the full trailer below.

Since even some professional players complained about Deadshot and his (kinda) cheap long-distance rifle attacks, we’ll see if they level the same frustration with Red Hood. It appears that he has moves that basically allow him to forever keep the opponent at a safe distance, so that could end up being a similar problem.
