Assassin's Creed Rebellion Brings AC Series to Mobile, Again

Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Rebellion, an upcoming mobile AC game in which you build and manage a fortress, send members of the brotherhood on missions and try to become the very best, like no one ever was. It’s coming to iOS and Android, but we don’t really know when.

Assassin’s Creed Rebellion

The game is set in 15th century Spain, when the Inquisition roamed the land, burning everyone who dared not to fit into their vision of the world. It will give you the opportunity to build your own Brotherhood. Kind of like Fallout Shelter, only with little stabby people instead of little radioactive people. You’ll have to manage your fortress and send out your assassins out to murder the bad, bad Templars.

The game will star over forty assassins, including fan favorite Ezio, Machiavelli, Aguilar, Shao Jun Claudia and more. It will also feature 20 fresh stabby men, especially made for Rebellion. If you’re worried about the narrative justification for this cross-age medley, it’s because of a new version of Animus that allows you to merge memories of multiple murdermen.

You’ll have to upgrade your Brotherhood by building training rooms and crafting stations, which will let you train your people and create better items. As you push forward, you’ll get more and more rooms, each unlocking some kind of new enhancement. Expect several types of missions – standard ones will help you gather resources used for the upkeep and betterment of your home base and staff, loot missions will reward you with rare crafting materials, while story and legacy quests will unlock new DNA fragments. These will let you warp new assassins into your timeline.

There’s no word of a release date yet, but it should be out soon. You’ll need at least 2GB RAM to run it, and it’s going to be optimized for iOS 8 and Android 4.1.
