Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris Announced, Trailer Released

Bungie Software has definitely made a massive effort to fine-tine Destiny. When the original first hit the market, back in September, 2014, the game felt tremendously incomplete and very repetitive, albeit the basic gameplay mechanics were pretty solid. However, having listened to the community, Bungie improved the game significantly, even though it took them almost a year to get things right. After several expansion packs, including The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King, and Rise of Iron, they finally nailed it and we had a properly polished shooter on our hands.

This year though, they delivered a full-on sequel, Destiny 2, and it brought a variety of improvements into the mix, in addition to a richer storyline. The game landed to largely positive reviews and approval from the public, but now Bungie is gearing up for more content. The announcement was made during the Paris Games Week Media Showcase.

Today, the well-known development studio announced Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris, and yeah, as the very title suggests it’s the first expansion to the Destiny 2 universe. The add-on takes place following the conclusion of the Destiny 2 campaign "where you are dispatched to Mercury on a quest to find Osiris, the most powerful Warlock to have ever lived, to discover the answers humanity needs to fight back against the Vex."

Have a look at the trailer below:

According to Bungie, "Curse of Osiris adds a new chapter to the world of Destiny 2, expanding the universe by adding an all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters, a new destination to explore, Mercury and its Infinite Forest, a new social space to visit called the Lighthouse, new missions, new strikes, new raid content, new free roam activities, a world quest to complete, and more."

Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris is slated to arrive on December 5, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Oh and the developer also confirmed that Destiny 2 is about to get an assortment of improvements, as uncovered in the dev’s recent blog update.
