Rocket League Physical Retail Version Coming for Nintendo Switch

Rocket League has officially launched on the Switch about a month ago, but only in digital form. Of course, a significant number of players have been asking for a physical version. And, well, all you collectors and fans of physical editions can breathe more easily. The physical edition of Rocket League for the Switch will be hitting shelves in mid to late January, depending on where you live.

On January 16th, it’ll launch in North America. After that, on January 24th, it’s coming out in Australia and New Zealand. Switch owners from Central Europe will get the physical version of Rocket League on January 25th. Lastly, on January 26th, the rest of Europe, Israel, the Middle East, Russia, and South Africa will get theirs. The post announcing the launch of the Rocket League physical edition does point out that people from Europe “should contact their local retailer for availability details.”

The Rocket League Collector’s Edition, as the physical version is called, will contain everything that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version does. The MSRP for the Nintendo Switch edition will be $39.99. You might note that the price is ten dollars more than the ones on other platforms. That’s due to the increased cost of manufacturing Switch cartridges. That’s the unfortunate reality of cartridges, I suppose. Still, you’ll get some pretty decent bang for your buck. Here’s what you’ll get in the package:

  • Rocket League Full Game
  • Supersonic Fury DLC Pack
  • Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack
  • Chaos Run DLC Pack
  • Aftershock DLC Car
  • Marauder DLC Car
  • Esper DLC Car
  • Masamune DLC Car
  • Customization Items inspired by DC Comics’ The Flash
  • Limited Art Print by Psyonix Concept Artist, Jay Zhang
