Soulcalibur VI Taki Character Reveal Trailer Released

Bandai Namco has released the reveal trailer for yet another legendary Soulcalibur character, Taki. She will be part of the roster of Soulcalibur VI. Based purely on the trailer, it seems like Taki will stay the same Taki we’ve known and loved for all these years. She’s still the same fast-moving ninja in impossibly-clinging clothes, and still wields her swords, Rekki-Maru and Nekki-Maru.

Soulcalibur VI Taki Character Reveal Trailer Released

Yet another character that will be stepping onto the stage of history in Soulcalibur VI has been announced. After the reveal of the most unexpected crossover character, Geralt of Rivia, and series staple Siegfried, Bandai Namco has announced yet another legendary fighter will be making a comeback to the series after not appearing in the previous installment. Yes, everyone’s favorite ninja whose clothing does not obey the laws of physics, Taki, will once again fight in the arena of Soulcalibur.

The publishers have released a character reveal trailer for Taki. And, just looking at the video, it seems that Taki will play pretty much the same as she always has. She uses her two short swords, Rekki-Maru and Nekki-Maru. She’s quick and nimble, with some pretty devastating, lightning-fast attacks. The video shows off some of her special moves, including the finishing one. All of them are just as over-the-top as you could want them to be. And, to the delight of all fans of Soulcalibur I’m sure, the visual design of Taki remains true to all the previous incarnations.

Soulcalibur VI is coming out some time this year; there’s no set launch date just yet. You’ll be able to play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The current roster, according to Eurogamer, includes the following fighters: Mitsurugi, Taki, Sophitia, Kilik, Ivy, Nightmare, Siegfried, Zasalamel, Xianghua, Grøh, and everybody’s favorite grumpy witcher, Geralt.
