Pokemon Let’s Go How to Get Shiny Pokemon – Chain Combo

How to catch shiny pokemon?

Shiny pokemon are found roaming the game’s world, but they’re extremely rare. According to some datamined info from the folks at Serebii.net, the base chance of a shiny spawning is around 1 in 4000. There are several ways to increase your chances, though, the first of which is using lures. At the base level, they’ll double your chances to 1 in 2000. The same goes for a shiny charm, which increases it even more, to 1 in 1300. Using both will give you a 1 in 1000 chance of a shiny pokemon spawning. That’s still slim, but a lot better than without the boosters.

However, the best way to increase your odds is by creating a chain combo. For starters, you need to select the pokemon you’d like to get a shiny version of. Then go and hunt it (and only it) in the wild, until you’ve managed to build up a chain of at least 31 catches. You need to be careful, as the chain can be broken easily. You can run away, but don’t let the pokemon run away. Don’t catch other kinds of pokemon – although you can run away from them if they jump you. Finally, you shouldn’t turn off your console or save the game while you’re trying to build up a chain, as this will break it.

Once you’ve built up a chain of 31+ catch, your chances of spawning a shiny pokemon will have increased to 1 in 340. Still a lot, but quite manageable. If you combine it with a lure and shiny charm, you’ll have around 1 in 270, which is the highest it’ll get.
