Red Dead Redemption 2 Hermit Stranger - Torn Treasure Map 1 Location
Hermit Stranger in RDR2 is one of several such NPCs in the game. The Hermit in Red Dead Redemption 2 is interesting, though, because he is hiding the Torn Treasure Map 1. So, paying him a visit is going to be pretty interesting, and can pay off in more ways than one. Plus, he also has a rare shotgun, and a neat hat. Where to Find Hermit Stranger Location in RDR2?
To find the Hermit Stranger location in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re gonna have to explore the far northeast of the map, looking for the location named Manito Glade. In fact, the location you’re looking for is not too far away from Willard’s Rest; it’s to the south of it. The easier way to orientate yourself is if you start from Annesburg, though. From Annesburg, head directly to the north. If you run into Reed Cottage, correct course and go to the northeast.
The hermit’s cottage in Manito Glade is pretty easy to spot. It’s a ramshackle little house with No Trespassing and Keep Out signs. He really doesn’t want anyone to bother him. He does his best to tell you to go away before he charges out with his gun a-blazing. You might even be tempted to leave the poor guy alone. Unfortunately, if you want the Torn Treasure Map 1, that ain’t gonna happen. Which brings us to our next section.
How to Get Red Dead Redemption 2 Secret Torn Treasure Map 1 – Otis Miller’s Revolver
To get the Torn Treasure Map 1 in Red Dead Redemption 2, you first have to kill the hermit. Again, he will try to warn you to leave him alone. However, if you go too far onto his property, he’ll charge out of his house and start firing on you. So, get ready to tussle. Once you shoot the hermit dead, you can loot his corpse for a neat hat (that you unfortunately can’t keep; see our How To Keep Stolen Hats guide for more info on that), and also a rare shotgun.
After that, go inside the house and loot everything in sight. You can score some Cocaine Gum and other consumables, as well as some $15 or so in bills and coins in the drawer below the dresser. As for the Torn Treasure Map 1, it’s in a small drawer, to the right of the cabin door, next to the window. Sack the place, and then you can be on your way. The second map location is up north of Strawberry. Go to the place called stilt shack (if you haven’t discovered this places, got due west of hanging dog ranch). Once to the shack (it’s in a tree) follow the creek, on the right side of the creek you come across another hermit, she has three dogs who will chase you. The map is inside her cabin. I can’t remember exact spot though as I found this map first.
