Resident Evil 7 Biohazard End Game Rewards & Unlocks Leaked

A thread has popped up on Reddit recently, detailing the end game unlocks and rewards in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The list contains several items and explains their purpose. Since the game isn’t out yet, there’s no way to verify if any of this is correct, so treat it as what it is – a rumor that’s possibly not true.

Note: It should go without saying, but here it is anyway – SPOILERS AHEAD. If true, the things you’ll read ahead are post-game content. If you want to keep the element of surprise, turn away while you still can. You’ve been warned.

Reddit user Danfromumbrella lists the following:

  • Infinite Ammo
  • Circular Saw (a melee weapon)
  • Infinite chainsaw fuel
  • Special Glasses (highlight items in the environment, to help you find the collectibles you’ve missed)
  • Speed Run shoes (increases movement speed, could help a lot with beating the game fast)
  • Albert Gun (a strong, ranged weapon)
  • Madhouse difficulty (highest difficulty setting)

It’s unclear whether these are all supposedly unlocked by simply beating the game, or if they’re tied to some other, more specific requirement – like getting a certain ending, or unlocking one of the achievements.

If it’s true, these items could freshen up the game. There’s not much point to playing through it more than once, but having these makes for a different experience. Some of them are just interesting gimmicks, while others could help you complete the stuff you’ve missed out the first time around. Having the highest difficulty setting locked until you’ve finished the game is kind of a weird move, though. This way, people who don’t have time to play through the game multiple times will be stuck playing on normal, which is a bummer.

We’ll find out if all of this is true on January 24th, which is when Resident Evil 7 launches on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
