Where to Find Rope Ascender Missing Gear in Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Moving Heavy Barriers

To find the Rope Ascender location in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you’ll first have to push through the game until you reach the Hidden City. In that area, right across the northern, smaller bridge, you’ll come across the little boy Takiy, who gives you a side quest to find his dice. This side quest is essential to getting the Rope Ascender, because it unlocks a vendor in the end (the same one that sells you the lockpick). The game will then point you to your next target, Pisco the Dead.

After you talk to Pisco, you then have to find four outcasts. The game shows you their whereabouts, and they glow green when you use your Lara senses, so you can’t miss them. Lastly, you have to find the fifth outcast, who turns out to be the merchant you’re looking for. The Rope Ascender will cost you 3300 Gold Pieces. Pretty steep, I know, but it’s necessary to help you reach the previously unavailable sections of the map. Incidentally, the merchant will stay here even after you complete the side quest, but there won’t be any map marker, so be sure to memorize her location.
