The Last Guardian Walkthrough Part 2 - Ruins Entrance

The Last Guardian is the newest game by Team ICO. Just like they’re previous game, this one is full of puzzles that need to be solved. There are also barrels to collect, to feed your animal companion. We’ll show you the puzzle solutions and barrel locations in our The Last Guardian Walkthrough Part 2

Last Guardian Entering the Ruins

Once the cutscene is over, head to the right and along the narrow ledge. Tread very carefully. At one point, you’ll have to grab one of the large chains above you to make it all the way. At the end, you’ll find a wooden door across from you, so make Trico break it. This will also knock down a pillar to bridge the chasm for you.

Cross over and follow the path into the atrium. You’ll notice that Trico will stick his head through the hole behind you. Head up the stairs that are on the right. When you climb up, you’ll see some rubble on the left. Head right and you’ll end up at the door that you’ve destroyed previously. Call Trico and he’ll jump to you. Lead him back to the staircase and have him destroy the rubble on the left to get the barrel underneath.

Lead Trico back into the atrium and climb onto him. There’s a barrel way up on the wall on the right, so use Trico to get up there. The wall across leads you to a chain. Climb up and find the tunnel, then follow it to the small clearing. Check the left side and you’ll find a barrel in the mine shaft. After that, use the mirror and have Trico break the barrier in front of you. Go through and look for the small crawlspace on the right. Use it to go into the forest. Go left, and you’ll see Trico waiting behind the metal bars, so call him over to you. Circle around the wall on the right, call Trico and climb on top of him. He’ll take you to the other side.

As you walk into the ruins again, you’ll see a stained glass, so throw it off the ledge. Keep going forward, and you’ll see a very small, oddly-shaped opening in the wall on the right. Go inside and get the barrel.

Afterwards, head up the stairs on the right. Climb on top of Trico, jump onto the ledge and go through the window. You’ll see a bunch of ledges there, so follow them until you get behind the iron gate. Pull the lever to open the gate.

At the end of the hallway, you can find a barrel. There’s also a gate that Trico can destroy, so use the mirror. Climb down into the area at the bottom of what looks like an electrified cage, then call Trico to join you.
