Where to find Dark Link outfit in Zelda BoTW

You can buy the outfit from Kilton, a merchant who lives in a hot air balloon. He doesn’t accept rupees, however. He only deals in mon, a special currency he invented. You’ll need to give him monster parts in exchange for mon, then trade the mon for the Dark Link set pieces. You’ll need to murder scores of monsters – the average part is worth 5-10 mon, while the outfit you’re looking to buy costs 4000 mon – Tunic and Trousers are a little cheaper 1,000 mon per piece, while you’ll need 2,000 mon for the Hood.

You can speed up the process somewhat if you target tough enemies. Of course, this will only work if you’re certain you can beat them. If not, stick with the Moblins and Bokoblins.

Where to find Kilton vendor

He only appears after you’ve solved A Shady Customer quest. You can pick it up at East Akkala Stable. Talk to a guard named Hoz, and he’ll send you off to take a picture of Kilton. You’ll find the vendor on the western island in Skull Lake. Take a picture before you talk to him – you need a shot of him with his back turned towards you, but close enough so you can see the face on his hood. Bring the picture back to Hoz to end the quest.

After that, he’ll start appearing around bigger settlements, like Hateno Village and Zora’s Domain. He only works at night, so you’ll need to time your visits. If you have trouble finding him after the quest, look for high ground – the ballon has decorative lights, and can be seen from a distance if the weather is nice.
