Hogwarts Legacy Flying Mounts List

As of right now, we know of three flying mount options in the game. We are going to update this list if we discover more mounts. The first one is the trusty Flying Broom. Naturally, you can’t have a Harry Potter-based video game without putting a Flying Broomstick in it. You can think of this as the “default” mount, and one that all players will have access to, regardless of whether or not they pre-ordered the game or which Edition of the game they got. You can buy new brooms, as well as customize and upgrade your existing one from a shop in Hogsmeade.

Next, the Onyx Hippogriff. Part eagle and part horse, this flying creature will allow you to soar high up into the sky. It is available to all players that have pre-ordered the game. And, finally, the Thestral. These magical creatures look like winged skeletal horses. Though they have a sinister appearance, they aren’t evil. The only people that can see them are the ones that have witnessed death. Harry Potter first saw one at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, after seeing his friend Cedric Diggory get killed at the end of the Goblet of Fire. This flying mount is exclusive to players that have bought the Deluxe Edition of the game.
