New Iron Banner event started on November 18th, 2014. Destiny fans can enjoy this special Crucible event for a limited time until November 24th.
Unlike the common Crucible matches, Iron Banner matches have no limits, and players with better gear and weapons will have an advantage over those less-equipped. Only players Level 20 and above can lead a Fireteam of six Guardians in the Iron Banner. Guardians lower than Level 20 can accompany their more powerful friends at their peril.
Iron Banner Tips
- Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage. Your ATTACK rating affects how you inflict damage.
- Before rushing into Iron Banner match visit Lord Saladin and the bounty vendor in the Tower, and take new bounties related to the Iron Banner playlist.
- Winning a match earns you reputation, and losing a match earns you a token. Collect up to five tokens and cash them in upon your next victory.
- Equip the Iron Banner emblem, shader and class item as soon as you can, it will increase your Iron Banner rep earnings by 30% in total.
- If you are wearing a faction class item you’ll earn reputation for that faction instead of Iron Banner faction.
- There are 5 Iron Banner Ranks this time. For Rank 1 you have to collect 100 Iron Banner Reputation points, for Rank 2 – 1200 reputation points more, then 2400 more for ranks 3,4,5.
- If your team controls 2 points, DO NOT go cap the 3rd point, because this way you control where your enemies spawn (they’ll spawn only near 3rd point).
- Objectives work as multipliers to your kill points. You get no points for simply holding objectives.
- Lower-Level Players should follow around higher level player in your team. This way you will get plenty of assists and kill off the guys they didn’t finish.
- Tempering buff costs 1 mote of light for 12 hour Iron Banner rep boost and it activates immediately!
- When you break down Iron banner armor you’ll not get ascendant shards.
