How to Get the Hulk Smasher Pickaxe

To get the Hulk Smasher Pickaxe in Fortnite with the Marvel’s Avengers beta, there are two things you have to do. The first one is to unlock the HARM challenges, and complete all three of them. The second thing is to link your Epic Games account with the account you’re playing the Marvel’s Avengers beta on. As far as we can tell, it doesn’t matter which order you do this in. So, let’s get into the details, shall we?

How to Unlock HARM Challenges

To unlock the HARM challenges in the Marvel’s Avengers Beta, you have to complete the introductory story missions. First, you have to unlock the War Room after defeating a certain Hulk-themed boss (not gonna spoil who it is), and then do the mission after that. The game will notify you when you’ve unlocked the HARM room. So, pay it a visit (I’ll explain where in a moment) and complete the tutorial mission to unlock the HARM challenges. Complete all three challenges on any difficulty with any hero to earn the Fortnite Hulk Smasher pickaxe.

Where is HARM Room in Marvel’s Avengers

The HARM room in Marvel’s Avengers is on the Hellicarrier. All three challenges are right there. To access them, simply walk to the mission selection table in the War Room and toggle it over to the Hellicarrier. There you have it, all three Harm Room challenges at your disposal. All the challenges are about defeating waves of enemies, unfortunately, so there’s not a lot of variety, but oh well. Incidentally, completing all the challenges will also unlock the Heroic Nameplate reward for when the full game launches.

How to Link Marvel’s Avengers Square Enix Account with Epic Fortnite Account

The first step to linking your Epic Games and Square Enix account and claiming your Marvel’s Avengers beta Hulk Smashers in Fortnite is to link your Epic account with the console account you’re playing Avengers beta on. Basically, just go to the Epic Games website and sign into your account. Hover over your display name, and hit Account. Select Connected Accounts, then Connect, and then Connected Accounts. From there, click on Connect, and Link your account. You can follow the steps from here easily.

Next up, connect it all together by going to https://membership.square-enix.com/campaigns/Epic. Again, just follow the steps, and you’ll be fine. If you’ve done everything correctly, you’ll get the Hulk Smashers the next time you log into Fortnite. Just keep in mind that you can only unlock the Hulk Smashers in Fortnite while the Avengers Beta is happening, which brings me to my last point.

What Dates is the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe and Hulkbuster Style Available?

If you haven’t already unlocked the Hulk Smashers pickaxe and the Hulkbuster style in Fortnite, you will have two more opportunities, as laid out in our Avengers Beta Start Time guide. The first one will be from Friday, August 14th at 9PM local time to Sunday, August 16th at 9 PM local time. That’s when the open PlayStation 4 beta and the closed PC and Xbox betas will take place.

Your second shot will be from Friday, August 21st to Sunday, August 23rd, at the same times. That’s when all the three platforms will host open betas for Marvel’s Avengers. That’s probably your best shot at getting the Fortnite Hulk Smashers pickaxe.
