Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Introduces Pennywise the Clown

There’s yet another mod for the Resident Evil 2 remake out in the wild that changes the appearance of Mr. X. There’s so many to choose from, I know, such as Thomas the Tank Engine. However, this one, created by Marcos RC, does fit the atmosphere of the game pretty perfectly. Everybody put your hands together and welcome Pennywise the Dancing Clown to Raccoon City. It just didn’t have enough trouble already.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Introduces Pennywise the Clown

While Mr. X, or the T-00, is certainly a frightening presence in Resident Evil 2, what with being an unstoppable creature that hunts you throughout the game. However, the visual design has always rubbed me the wrong way. He looks like a pruny Dolph Lundgren, and his second form is basically a were-mole. So, how can we spice things up? Well, how about we turn him into Pennywise, the Dancing Clown. Or, as most of you probably know him better, the creepy clown from “IT.” Yeah, that ought to do the trick.

You can see the mod in action in the video below. Yes, that is the Joker as portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix fighting Pennywise, stay focused. As you can see, Pennywise makes things so much more terrifying, at least, in my opinion. Just look at that grinning douche move away a helicopter like it’s nothing at all. If you ask me, It is way more terrifying here that he is in the movie. And, of course, the fact that the mod seems to include Pennywise’s lines from the movie really adds a nice little layer of extra horror to the proceedings.

Now, I don’t make a habit of linking to mods in these articles, just in case. However, if you do want to check them out, you can find the links in the descriptions of the video below. Yes, even for the Joker, if you want it. All credit, of course, goes to the creator of the mods, Marcos RC.
