How to Complete Teach Me A Lesson 1 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To complete the Teach Me A Lesson 1 quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom or TOTK, you need to take a picture of the painting of the Great Calamity. You know, the “incident” that set the events of Breath of the Wild on motion. So, you first need to unlock the camera. Check out our How to Take Pictures guide for more info on that. The next step is to go to Kakariko Village and head up the long wooden staircase into Paya’s Hall. If you don’t know where that is, check out our screenshot below. Go into the house and climb the stairs in the far left corner. Head into the room at the top and turn left as soon as you enter.

The next step to complete the Zelda TOTK or Tears of the Kingdom Teach Me A Lesson 1 quest is to take a picture of the painting of the elaborate Calamity painting. You don’t want it to be zoomed in too far, or else Symin won’t accept it. Use the image up top to help you set up the shot. Take the picture and then return to the school in Hateno Village and talk to Symin. If nothing happens, you’ll have to retake the photo. And remember that school is only in session between about 9 AM and 2 PM. If you go in at another time, nobody will be there. And that’s basically all there is to it. Good luck on your adventures!
