What to Do When Nook Won’t Accept New Creatures in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

When Nook stops accepting new creatures in Animal Crossing New Horizons, it’s time to make a tent for Blathers the owl. In the beginning of the game, Nook will happily accept whatever creatures you have to give him. He sends them to the museum, and you get recipes in return. However, that stops after a while. Nook will then tell you to pitch a tent for Blathers. Once you do that, you’ll have to wait for two days for the owl to arrive (or use time travel to skip the wait).

Once Blathers comes into the town, you’ll get a little cutscene where Nook announces the arrival. From that moment on, you can take whatever creatures you capture to the owl, and receive even more recipes for your troubles. One such recipe is the Vaulting Pole, which is one of the most useful items you can get at that point, because it allows you to jump over rivers. You can’t explore certain parts of the island without it. For more info, check out our How to Jump Over River & Get Vaulting Pole guide.

And, that about wraps it up for this guide. If you need more assistance, we’ve got a bunch of other helpful stuff written for you to check out. For example, How to Remove Fruit Buff and Share Dodo Codes & Invite Friends. Hope you find them useful!
