“A Criminal Past” story takes place in a high-security prison for augmented felons. This is a hostile environment Jensen was transferred into, not for his crimes, but for a sensitive mission. He has to track down and retrieve important information.

The keeper of this information is a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Being in the prison for augmented felons is not easy for Adam. The importance of completing the mission, which will help the fight against terror around the world, is immense. It is not going to be easy, as Jensen has to fight his dark side as well.

Adam is not alone on this mission. We’ll get to see new characters, as well as an old one – Delara Auzenne. She is a psychiatrist working for TF29 in 2029. Delara has strong connections with Adam. Due to her secret role within the Illuminati, she’s set to monitor Adam at all cost.

The time period in which “A Criminal Past” story takes place is set before the events of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It will provide players with more insight into the lore of the Deus EX universe. The augmented prison mission is one of Adam’s first duties for Task Force 29.

This story DLC will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC online stores. It is a part of the Season Pass, and players who have it will not need to spend more money.
