Where to Find Dragon’s Gaze in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

There are two locations in which we’ve found the Dragon’s Gaze item in Dragon’s Dogma 2. There are probably other places, and we’ll add more as we come across them. Well, in fairness, the first Dragon’s Gaze we got was a reward for completing the main quest called The Nameless Village. Since it’s a main quest, you can’t really miss it. After you do everything asked of you, go back and report to captain Brant to receive a bunch of Gold and XP, as well as the item.

The second Dragon’s Gaze we located was in the open world. Specifically, at the fourth floor of the Watchtower in Vernworth castle. There’s a fancy-looking black chest up there, in which we found the item. Take a look at the picture below to see exactly where it was.

How to Use Dragon’s Gaze in DD2

Using the Dragon’s Gaze in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is as easy as using any other item in DD2. All you need to do is find it in your inventory, select it, and then hit “Use.” That’s all there is to it. But what does it actually do, though? Well, the description clearly says it: “Bears the power to locate Wakestone Shards and note their location on your map.” After we’ve used one, that’s precisely what it did: it marked the locations of Wakestone Shards for us. Only a couple in our vicinity, though; don’t expect it to dot ever single Shard in every area you’ve been through. That, including the fact that the Dragon’s Gaze seems to be a fairly rare item, means that you have to use them sparingly.
