What is Lengthy in FIFA 23

Lengthy players in FIFA 23 are a result of the new AcceleRATE feature. It basically categorizes players into three different categories. One of them is “lengthy.” These players are not as fast initially (that honor goes to explosive players), but they pick up speed as they go, and they can run for much longer. By that, I mean an attacker can run the full length of the field without slowing down noticeably. Needless to say, this is a huge advantage. All you need is enough space for those players to get going, and then good luck stopping them. They’re pretty awesome.

How to Make Lengthy Players in FIFA 23

For a player to be lengthy in FIFA 23, they need to meet four requirements. Their Strength needs to be at 65 or above, their Strength-Agility at or above 14, Acceleration at 55 or above, and they have to have a height of at least 174 cm. That’s approximately 5’9″ for those of you who prefer imperial units. There is a fairly substantial list of players that meet these requirements by default. Some of the best lengthy players include Erling Haaland, Dusan Vlahovic, Beto, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk.

However, there are players that you can make lengthy with Chemistry Styles. The Architect seems to be the best way to go about it, but Backbone and Sentinel work alright, too. However, Architect is the universal solution, pretty much. Keep in mind that you can only increase three out of the four stats; there’s no way to magically raise the player’s height.

FIFA 23 Lengthy on Old Gen

You can’t have lengthy players in FIFA 23 on old gen consoles, only new gen (and therefore, also PC). This is due to the fact that this feature only exists if you have access to the AcceleRATE feature. That only exists on new platforms. That is kinda sucky, because it basically means that there are two metas, depending on what you’re playing on. Lengthy players are the kings of the meta on new-gen; guys like Haaland and Vlahovic are all the rage. Meanwhile, on old-gen consoles, they are way, way weaker. So much so that Haaland is just completely unimportant. That is something you have to keep in mind.
