The Final Fantasy VII Remake is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The original Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997, telling the story of the iconic Cloud Strife. Along with the eco-terrorist group called Avalanche, he will battle against the corrupt Shinra Megacorporation, and the rogue former Shinra soldier called Sephiroth.

Interestingly, the combat system will be the same as Final Fantasy XV, with high paced combat sequences. There will also be summons, magic and charged attacks. In combat, we will be able to switch between characters and utilize their abilities.

Yoshinori Kitase said that, at the moment they are brushing up the scene from the announcement trailer, and the game will be episodic. Just like Final Fantasy XV, it will only be released for the PlayStation 4.

Yoshinori Kitase was involved in development of multiple Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts and many more. At the moment, he is the Executive Officer at Square Enix, and we can surely expect a great title in the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was officially announced at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo during the PlayStation conference. Hopefully, we will see a new trailer in the near future, or even better, a full gameplay video for this long-awaited title. The release date for Final Fantasy VII Remake is still unknown, but we will keep you posted as soon as we get any new details and information.
