Final Fantasy 15 Moogle Chocobo Carnival Trailer Released

The Moogle Chocobo Carnival is coming to Final Fantasy XV near the end of the month. It’s supposed to be a lot of fun, a shared celebration of the two cutest creatures in all the universe. There’s finally a trailer for the event. Short as it is, it’s still better than knowing nothing about it.

It’s actually a Japanese TV commercial that advertises the free DLC. The important part is the brief footage comparison of Altissia before and during the festivities. It’s a lot livelier – there’s some fancy carpeting on the bridges, along with an insane amount of yellow banners all around the place.

There are no subtitles, so we can’t tell what the voice over is about, but it mentions “free DLC”. The carnival will be accessible for a limited time, starting January 24th. In order to enter, you’ll need the carnival passport. Don’t worry, you won’t need to grind in order to get it. This item is obtained by simply downloading the Holiday Pack or Holiday Pack Plus DLC. The former is free for all, while the latter is only available to season pass holders.

We still don’t know what we’ll get to see at the event. There will probably be new, themed activities, as well as some cool items to win. We have high hopes that an actual Moogle might make an appearance as well. What we do know for sure is that we’ll be getting some nice new outfits. There’s a special t-shirt with a hat for Holiday Pack owners, while those with the Holiday Pack Plus will be getting a mariachi costume. Both are only wearable by Noctis, which is a crying shame. All four of the party members are sorely lacking clothing options, and it would be great to make Ignis wear a goofy outfit.
