What better way to get into the holiday spirit than samurai, Vikings, and knights duking it out for the glory of Assassins or Templars? Well, that’s exactly what Ubisoft has cooked up for the players of For Honor: an Assassin’s Creed crossover event. It features a remix of the Dominion mode, a whole bunch of AC-themed cosmetics for you to grind, and more. The event is already in progress having started on December 20th, and it will last until January 10th.

Let’s go through what this crossover has to offer. The main draw seems to be the Assassini e Templari, which is basically the 4v4 Dominion mode. The main difference being that you’re battling to capture specific areas, and spawn famous Assassin’s Creed characters as Commanders. These characters can be either an Assassin or a Templar. Every commander kill gets you points. The aim of the game is to score 1,000 or over, and defeat the opposing team. So, yeah, there’s not too much Assassin’s Creed stuff, aside from the window dressing, but oh well.

Speaking of window dressing, there is admittedly more to this mode. For example, all drop attacks feature a Leap of Faith / Air Assassination animation. All the soldiers bear either the Assassin or the Templar insignia. The stages are also full of Assassin’s Creed stuff, such as Animus glitches, banners, etc. There’s also a bunch of exclusive cosmetic items, such as a hidden blade execution, the Haystack emote, different costumes, etc. The only catch is that the For the Creed bundle costs 35,000 Steel per character, because Ubisoft.
