Bots were added to Fortnite in the Chapter 2 update, and a lot of people are enjoying playing against them. There’s no pressure, no judging eyes, nobody yelling at you. It’s a much more laid back experience, so obviously a number of players who aren’t that skilled are excited by the prospect of bot only matches. Is there a way to play only with bots?

Sadly, no, not at the moment. According to some rumors, you can force the game to put you in a match with bots by using a custom matchmaking code. You’ll need to have custom matchmaking unlocked, which isn’t something everyone has. If you manage to do this, any kills or wins you manage to score there won’t count towards your career total.

There’s also no way to force the game to add bots to a Creative Mode session, which is a pity. Some folks have mentioned seeing an all bots mode mentioned in the game’s files. If that’s true, then there’s hope it might be added in a future update.

We know the game increases the density of bots on a server based on the skill levels of present players. In other words, the worse your stats, the more bots you’ll see. This means you could potentially game the skill based matchmaking system. Every time you feel like the game is getting harder, lose a few rounds and try to make it spectacular. As your matchmaking rank falls, the game will pair you with worse players and more bots. At least in theory.
