How to Get Fortnite Mythic Secret Shield Mushroom?

To get the mythic gold secret mushrooms in Fortnite, the first step is to go to any swampy or forested area on the map. You’re looking for places with lots of trees, is what I’m saying. Make sure to explore every nook and cranny, including under trees and in the water. The special mushrooms have weird spawning patters, as far as we can tell. Take as much time as you can, and, if you’re extremely lucky, you’ll run into a gold mushroom.

I say extremely lucky because, according to Fortnite leaker Hypex, their spawn rate is something like 0.0001%. They borderline don’t exist, basically. That said, eating a mythic mushroom in Fortnite gives you a full 100 Shield, and you can stack up to three of them. And, no, they won’t appear in food boxes, according to Hypex. So, one wonders whether or not it’s even worth looking for them in the first place. If you really want to see what one looks like, might as well check them out in the Creative Mode instead.

So, there you have it, that’s all we know about the secret gold mushroom locations in Fortnite, and about how to get them. As it stands now, they’re really barely worth your trouble; there are a lot of different ways to top up your shield without having to root around swamps and forests. Maybe the developers are going to increase the spawn rates, and that’ll make the mythic mushrooms more viable.
