When Does The “Main Cannon, Make Ready… Fire!” Challenge Begin?

This challenge begins after you have found and lit up all three devices in the Golden Apple Archipelago. You will see that there are platforms with monsters on the open sea. Using your Waverider boat, you can fire upon these towers and the monsters standing on them. However, you won’t be able to damage heavy floating towers. Instead, you will need to leave your boat and go to the heavy towers to take out the monsters personally.

There are also shielded floating towers. You will be able to approach these after you have destroyed the Violent Wind Emitters surrounding these towers. The only things that can destroy these emitters are your heavy cannons or explosive barrels. After you have defeated all the monsters on a floating platform, you will receive Shiny Flotsam shells as your reward. You can use these to make purchases in the Event Shop.
