How to Fix Controller Not Working in Hi-Fi Rush

There are several things that you can do to fix the controller not working issue in Hi-Fi Rush. The first and most obvious one, that still deserves repeating, is to check whether your controller is connected properly. If it is, time to roll up our sleeves. If you’re on Steam, try closing the app completely. I mean, fully exiting it, not even letting it run in the background. Then, restart Steam and the game and see if it works now. If not, find the game in your library and right-click it. Select the Controller option, and find and check Disable Steam Input. Save the changes and try playing the game again. You might need to disconnect other peripherals to make sure Steam can only use the controller for inputs. This should get rid of the problem.

So, that’s how you can fix the controller not working issue in Hi-Fi Rush on Steam, but what about Xbox Live? What if you’re playing in via Game Pass? Well, there is a fix for you lot, too. You either have to get an Xbox controller, or you need to set the DSX/DS4/DS5 emulation to Xbox 360. That seems to have solve the problem for a number of people, and I hope it will for you, too. With all of that said, these are all workarounds. The only real solution can come from the developers, and hopefully, they’ll solve the issue in the future. In the meantime, feel free to share any other solutions with us in the comments below.
