Does Palworld Have Dedicated Servers?

Yes, Palworld does provide dedicated servers. However, there is a caveat. Namely, the game only has in-game dedicated servers for the 4-player co-op experience. Hence, if you only want to play with a couple of other friends, this will suit you perfectly. Simply launch the game, create a co-op multiplayer session, and invite up to three other players to your game. You don’t need to do anything outside of the game. And the co-op mode won’t be P2P. Everything will be on the server provided by the game.

Does Palworld Have Private Servers?

However, Palworld also features a much larger game mode for up to 32 players. If you are into this kind of massive multiplayer experience, then you will need to set up a private server. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have an in-game option for these bigger sessions. Nevertheless, Palworld developers will support players interested in bigger worlds by providing official tools and apps that will help you create a private dedicated server for up to 32 players.

Here’s what they say in the official FAQ post: “You can play Palworld with up to 3 friends by simply starting a multiplayer game and inviting them (4-player co-op),” reads the post. “Beyond this, you can create a dedicated server, which will allow for up to 32 players to play in the same world and create guilds together. We will provide the tools to create these servers yourself at launch.”
