How To Play Party Animals Offline

Let’s not beat around the bush here. Instead, let’s cut straight to the chase. Despite promising to have offline support at launch, Party Animals doesn’t actually feature this kind of play. Namely, the developers have stated that you can “Paw it out with your friends both online and offline.” This claim is still there in the game’s official description on its Steam page. However, this is not actually true. That is, the game does feature local split-screen play. However, for some reason, even this local co-op play must be played online. Hence, it is not a true local play in the sense that you still need an internet connection, even if you want to play locally with your friends on a single console or PC.

Hence, unfortunately, you will not be able to play Party Animals in offline mode. And to be perfectly frank, I doubt that will ever change. This is due to the incorporated microtransaction system, with various monetization options for cosmetics and other in-game items. In order to track this monetization and player progressions in the game, the developers need to constantly monitor what you are doing and to keep statistics and other numbers. And for that reason, they need you to be constantly connected to the servers. This might not be a big issue if it’s not for the fact that the game’s servers aren’t capable to support huge numbers of players. This results in people waiting in queues even when they try to play locally on the split screen. To conclude, don’t expect Party Animals Offline Mode any time soon.
