Can You Fix Payday 3 Beta Nebula Data Error, Failed to Fetch Game Config Data?
Let’s be honest with you from the get-go. The good news here is that this almost surely has absolutely nothing to do with you. However, the bad news is that there’s not much you can do about the Payday 3 Nebula Data Error. Hence, the best advice we can give to you right now is to simply wait a couple of hours until Starbreeze Studios, the game’s developer, fixes the issue. It is unfortunate that this bug, which first appeared in the technical beta, is still here, even after the official launch.
Why is the game failing to fetch Game Config Data? Well, because the servers are currently overcrowded with players rushing in trying to play the game. Hence, the servers can’t handle that influx of players. Aside from this error, players are also reporting issues like “Network Error” and “LowLevelFatal” Error. And the explanation is mainly similar – the sheer number of players is currently breaking the servers.
If you continue getting this error, and if you really want to try to do something, the best thing you can do is to reinstall the game from scratch and perform the “verify the integrity of game files” feature on Steam. In addition, make sure to check out our list of troubleshooting in the article listed above regarding network connection issues. With that said, our “Payday 3 Nebula Data Error, Failed to Fetch Game Config Data” guide is completed.
Starbreeze likely took the servers offline on purpose for technical reasons. That’s my guess as to why this error is coming up. They pulled the plug from Starbreeze Nebula so they could test things on their end without people messing with things in the meantime. That’s the same thing i would do if I was in their position. but a news article explaining what they are currently doing would be nice.
