Roblox PS4 Slow Loading Issue, Can't Load Games & Assets

If your Roblox games on PlayStation 4 won’t load, you are, unfortunately, just one of many players currently experiencing this issue. The world’s most popular game platform has finally landed on PlayStation 17 years after its release. Alas, it seems that many players have problems loading Roblox games and assets on the PS4. Here’s what we know about it.

Can’t Load Roblox Games & Assets on PlayStation 4

PlayStation 4 owners who also happen to be avid Roblox players will finally be able to use their console for their favourite hobby. On October 10th, 2023, the megapopular online game platform and game creation system, Roblox, has become available on PlayStation consoles. Sadly, the launch day hasn’t been the smoothest experience. Namely, it seems that many players are reporting about the abysmal performance of Roblox on PlayStation. For many, the biggest issue is that PS4 Roblox is simply not loading games and assets. At the very least, it is loading very slowly.

“Every single game I try and play takes forever to load or just does not load at all. For example I tried playing arsenal and it took over 5 minutes to load,” says Reddit user Proalextheone. And he’s just one of many with similar loading issues. At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be a solution for this annoying issue. It seems that there’s simply a server problem which prevents the PS4 Roblox from loading assets and games properly. Many players spotted that the game is downloading assets extremely slowly. “The app is barely attempting to download anything,” says Reddit user Vill1on. “On the desktop app, upon loading, “Recv” would go as high as 200kb/s. However, as I’m typing this, the game is downloading 5kb/s at best.”

Aside from the fact that PS4 Roblox won’t load assets and games, other players report general performance issues, like very low FPS (sub-30), stuttering, lag, high ping, and other problems. Hopefully, the developers will work on fixing these issues as soon as possible. Currently, Roblox is almost unplayable on the PS4.
