Is Sons of the Forest Coming to PS5, PS4 & Xbox

Will Sons of the Forest be on PS5, PS4 & Xbox?

At time of writing, we don’t know whether Sons of the Forest is coming to PS5, PS4 and Xbox. In the foreseeable future, the only place you’ll be able to play will be on Steam, starting on February 23rd. The game will be in early access for the next six to eight months, apparently. This is similar to the development cycle of its predecessor, The Forest. That became a massive hit, and the community’s participation during early access was a large part of the success. It bears mentioning at this point that The Forest found its way to consoles a few months after the full PC launch. So, if the sequel gets enough traction, I’m sure it will follow suit.

That’s all we know when it comes to the future of Sons of the Forest on PS5, PS4 and Xbox. As far as the Switch goes, I’m going to assume that Nintendo’s baby is not going to be able to support the game. We’ll have to wait and see. And for those of you that don’t know what Sons of the Forest is, it is a survival horror game. By that, I mean it is a survival game with all the trappings (gathering resources, crafting, hunger and thirst meters etc), but the forest is crawling with crazed people and horrific mutants. That’s not even mentioning the vast complex of cave systems that crisscross the island, hiding all sorts of dark secrets. It’s a good time.
