How to level up metabolism fast?

The only way to level up metabolism is by eating and drinking. More specifically, by replenishing hydration and energy; eating on a full stomach won’t bump up your skill. It only counts if you do it in raid, and you also need to make sure you either die or extract – if you disconnect, any progress you’ve made will not count.

It’s a slog, and it’s going to take a while, no matter how you approach it. There are a few rules you should stick with, in order to speed things up as much as possible:

  • Stick with food that has high negative hydration, like oatmeal, sugar, condensed milk and mayo. That way, you’ll replenish energy but loose hydration, which will allow you to drink more, right after the meal.
  • Always eat first, then drink. Food makes you thirsty, so you get more skill progress that way.

Apart from letting you function like a normal human being, and allowing you to build new upgrades in your hideout, the metabolism skill has other perks as well. It reduces the rate at which you forget physical skills and decreases the maximum scale of forgetting physical skills. It also decreases energy and hydration consumption rates, and enhances the positive effects of food and drink. When you get it to elite level, you’ll no longer be able to forget physical skills, and there will be no chance of experiencing dehydration and exhaustion effects.
