How to Unlock Vampire Survivors Toastie

To unlock Toastie in Vampire Survivors, a secret character that is very hard to get, you need to go through a number of steps. The first one, which I’m not 100% certain is necessary but bears mentioning just in case, is to unlock Exdash Exiviiq. You do this by inputting the string x-x1viiq in the main menu. You have to type quickly and touch no other key, or else it’ll fail. If you’ve done it properly, you’ll hear a little chime, after which you’ll find Exdash in your character selection menu. Next, refund all of Exdash’s luck powerups; you’ll see why in a second.

Now, you have to go to the Dairy Plant level and kill the Stalker enemy, aka the green Grim Reaper. This creature has a 30% chance of spawning on minute 8 and minute 12. However, if your Luck is super-high, it might not happen, since it’s a “bad” event. That’s why you need to hobble Exdash to unlock Toastie in Vampire Survivors. Keep in mind that you have to kill the Stalker, not just erase. You can do this by either hurling minecarts at it or with the Rosary pickup. As soon as the Green Death is done, Toastie will appear in the bottom right for a brief moment. Your job is to immediately press the down arrow + Enter on keyboard or down + start on the controller. Spam the input if necessary.

If you were fast enough, you’ll hear the chime, and Toastie will be next to Exdash in the character selection screen. If not, well, then you weren’t fast enough, unfortunately, and will have to try again. Huge thank-you to oodex for compiling this information.
