Hogwarts Legacy Portrait in a Pickle Choice – Take Ferdinand to Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head or Burn It

The choice between whether you take Ferdinand to the Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head or burn it in the Hogwarts Legacy Portrait in a Pickle quest ultimately doesn’t affect much of anything. The only thing that changes is Ferdinand’s fate; as far as your character goes, you get the exact same rewards no matter what you do. Plus, there are zero consequences beyond it. With that said, let’s get into the details, such as they are. If you choose “Let’s get out of here,” you will take the painting to the Three Broomsticks and place it on its wall. All the while, the guy just won’t stop kvetching, which will quite frankly make you wish you burned him. I hate Ferdinand with every fiber of my being, I truly do.

That’s the first choice in the Portrait in a Pickle quest in Hogwarts Legacy. The other two are behind the “Returning you to the Three Broomsticks isn’t my only option” dialogue branch. If you go with “I could take you to the Hog’s Head instead,” that’s exactly what’s going to happen. You’ll put Ferdinand on the wall of the less reputable inn, and the last you hear as you exit will be someone calling him “target practice,” which is just delightful after his incessant complaining. Lastly, if you take the “I could burn you,” your character will set the painting ablaze. Cut to black, the painting is gone. You get the exact same rewards in all three cases. So, feel free to vent your frustrations on Ferdinand if you so choose.
