Capcom Reveals Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess in Stunning Gameplay Trailer
Legendary video game developers Capcom have revealed their latest new game – Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. This is an entirely new IP, and it is heavily inspired by traditional Japanese mythology. In it, we play as Soh, and it is our sacred duty to protect the village, its inhabitants, and Maiden of the mountain, Yoshiro, against hordes of monsters called the Seethe. Featuring a unique day and night cycle, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess looks absolutely beautiful. What is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess?
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a single-player game that combines strategy and action elements. Taking place in a village on Mt. Kafuku, we take on the role of Soh. It is our job to protect the village from the monstrous Seethe. The game is divided into two distinct halves. During the day, we aid Yoshiro in purging all the corruption from the land, we assign villagers various roles, and fix and set defensive fortifications. And at night, the Seethe attack. This is when we need to keep them from killing Yoshiro and overwhelming the village’s defenses. Here’s where the game’s real-time strategy and action elements come into play. We command the villagers and personally enter the field of battle to repel the Seethe.
When is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Coming Out and on Which Platforms?
While there is no set release date yet, the game is expected to come out sometime in 2024. It is going to be available on the Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Cloud, as well as on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
