To achieve this, a new Royal Tool, the Hourglass, is required. You must locate the “flying metal nuisance” in order to acquire the Royal Hourglasses. Your only clue is that the tool is concealed within Ancient’s Landing.

To proceed with this step, head towards the bridge that connects The Docks to a small island. At the end of the bridge, you’ll encounter copper nodes blocking your path. Use the gold pickaxe provided by Jafar to destroy the obstacles. Once you’ve successfully crossed the bridge, turn your attention to the left, where you’ll spot EVE. The tool you seek is none other than EVE herself. Approach EVE to initiate a conversation. This will trigger a new step in the quest: “Talk to the Flying Metal Nuisance.”

Disney Dreamlight Valley Flying Metal Nuisance Bug

Many players are facing a bug during the quest step where they have to visit the location in the memory. The step stops them from progressing the quest since the game doesn’t recognize it.

I cannot progress with the flying metal nuisance storyline! The game tells me to go to the location in the memory and when I do it then tells me to get the robot costume which I already have and then when I leave the area it tells me to go to the location again!
I can’t get past the “The Flying Metal Nuisance” quest. I already found the robot costume and put it on, but it still says I haven’t.

If you’re encountering the bug where the game doesn’t recognize the robot costume, try the following steps:

  • Unequip and re-equip the robot costume: This simple action can sometimes resolve the issue.
  • Restart Disney DreamLight Valley: If unequipping and re-equipping the costume doesn’t work, try restarting the game. This can clear any temporary glitches that might be causing the problem. At this moment the only solution that worked for some players was to restart the game.

She's a professor of mathematics in her spare time (another nickname justification). The only non-genius thing she did was co-found GosuNoob.
