Little Kitty Big City Launches on May 9th

“You’re a curious little kitty with a big personality, on an adventure to find your way back home. Explore the city, make new friends with stray animals, wear delightful hats, and leave more than a little chaos in your wake. After all, isn’t that what cats do best?” Say less, Double Dagger Studio. You’ve had me at “Hello.” I am a hundred percent ready to cause havoc as a cute black cat and make friends with other alley animals (and, sure, go home at some point, maybe).

Little Kitty Big City Launches on May 9th

Let’s get the most important information out of the way: Little Kitty, Big City is coming out on May 9th, 2024. According to the website, you’ll be able to play it on the Switch, Xbox, and PC (via Steam and itch.io). You can check out the launch date announcement trailer below to see what the game looks like in action. And yes, I know trusting trailers is never wise. But if this game is even close to what the video promises, I am so down.

But what exactly is Little Kitty, Big City all about? Well, you’re a cat on the street that’s trying to get home. Eventually. There’s no rush. There’s a whole city to explore, other animals to meet, and things to knock over. Oh, and food to steal! So much trouble that a snooping kitty can get into! If you haven’t picked up already, the game is a small sandbox that you get to explore and do whatever you want. Sure, you have an ultimate goal, which is to navigate the cat back home, but what’s the hurry? Don’t you want to nab a piece of fish from a random person and then make them give chase? Or knock over a can of paint just because? Or do favors for a random racoon? I know I do!
