Resident Evil 3 Remake Trailer Provides Best Look at Nemesis Yet

Capcom has released a brand new trailer for the remake of Resident Evil 3, which prominently features Nemesis. Which makes sense, considering he’s the one thing that everyone remembers about RE 3. On top of that, though, we also get a better look at Carlos and the other mercenaries, a Hunter enemy, and more. However, Nemesis and Jill stand front and center, as they should be.

Resident Evil 3 Remake Trailer Provides Best Look at Nemesis Yet

There’s no doubt that Nemesis was the most memorable part of the original Resident Evil 3. So, of course, Capcom decided to release a new trailer for the remake that features the hulking monstrosity prominently. And, while I don’t like the redesign, with the crooked nose and piano key teeth and the adorable little Caution stickers, there’s no denying that it’s still terrifying. Nemesis is nigh-unstoppable, getting up after being hit by a car and dropped off a building. Plus, they’ve now given him a huge flamethrower now, because he just wasn’t enough of a problem as is.

While Nemesis certainly steals the show, we do also get a glimpse of some other monsters and human characters. As far as the monsters go, we briefly see Carlos the mercenary facing off against one of the reptilian Hunter enemies. It is obscured by shadows, but you can clearly see they redesigned them to be much more menacing looking than the tumor-ridden frog-people they were in the original. As for the human characters, we see Brad Vickers, the aforementioned Carlos, who will be a playable character. And, of course, the rest of the band of merry mercenaries.

The remake of Resident Evil 3 is coming out on Friday, April 3rd, 2020. If it’s anything like the rework of Resident Evil 2, we’re absolutely in good hands, my gripes over the redesign of Nemesis aside. In the meantime, check out the Nemesis trailer below to whet your appetite.
