Scorn Gets Xbox Series X Gameplay Trailer With New Weapons & More

The developers of the upcoming first-person shooter horror game Scorn, Ebb Software, have released a new gameplay trailer. In the video, we get to see some new environments, weapons, puzzles, and more. This is still the first level of the game, so there will be no spoilers. It is, however, a different part of the level; plus, the visuals look way better on the Xbox One X, of course. The fleshy corridors and nightmarish creatures really seem that much stickier, if nothing else.

Scorn Gets Xbox Series X Gameplay Trailer With New Weapons & More

Yes, after a long period of intermittent silence, we finally get to see new footage of Scorn. The game is alive and kicking, and it seems the developers have been spending their time hunched over their keyboards, hammering away and producing something extremely promising. The new trailer shows us new areas from the first level of the game, as well as some new gameplay elements. For example the grenade launcher, new puzzles, and new horrors that will be chasing you around the flesh-and-steel rooms.

What the trailer certainly doesn’t do is tell us more about what exactly is happening. Our skinless protagonist is stuck in this environment made up of H. R. Giger’s and Zdzisław Beksiński’s wet dreams, but we simply don’t know why. Are they aliens? Are we in Hell? Is it all a nightmare? I have not the foggiest of clues. At this point, I’m about ready for the developers of Scorn to throw me a bone here. I need to have some kind of context. It’s all well and good to be mysterious, but please, give me some frame of reference.

Scorn doesn’t have an exact release date at the time of writing. All we know so far is that it’s coming out some time in 2021. When it does, you’ll be able to get it on Xbox Series X/S and PC (via the Microsoft Store and Steam). In the meantime, you can check out the Xbox Series X gameplay trailer below.
