Where to Find Sword of Dormin in Shadow of the Colossus?

To get the Sword of Dormin in the Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remake, you first have to find all 79 Golden Relics / Coins / Enlightenments, however you want to call them. This was discovered recently by YouTuber PS4 Trophies, who managed to find all 79 Relics (images are from his video). The Relics are strewn about the map, some in extremely hard-to-reach places. In fact, like we’ve mentioned before, you have to beat the game several time to increase your stamina to reach some of the Relics. Additionally, you have to beat Colossi in Time Attack to get items; otherwise, you won’t be able to get some of them.

Once you find all 79 Relics, you need to go back to the central temple, the Shrine of Worship. Go around it and monitor the walls very carefully. From the temple exit, start walking around to the east, and on the east side, you’ll notice a section of wall subtly glowing gold. The glow may remind you of the shrines across the map, where you can pray. So, approach the wall, and hit R2 to kneel. If you don’t see a glowing wall, you might have to beat your current run first, and start a new one. The wall will open and reveal a hidden room in the Shrine of Worship. Approach the blue-glowing rocks, and you’ll notice a hovering sword. Kneel again, and you’ll get the Sword of Dormin.

According to the description, the Sword of Dorming does increased damage, but slows down health regeneration. And, yes, the sword does do some astounding damage, but not that much more than you can already do. As for health regeneration, at this point, you have so much health, you don’t have to worry about it at all. And therein lies the problem. The Sword of Dormin seems like a weak reward for all the hassle you have to go through. By the time you can actually get it, you don’t really need it. It does look kinda cool, I suppose.
